Timeline and validity
Timeline is an optional, read-only view of quotation preparation, approval, customer validity and order handover. A company administrator must enable the module.
Choose what to see
Section titled “Choose what to see”Timeline starts with quotations owned by the signed-in user. If company visibility is shared, Show other users’ quotes adds the wider portfolio. It does not change quotation ownership or independent approval authority.
Use Week for the operational view and Day when you need exact short periods. Desktop rows can be grouped and collapsed. Smaller screens present the same records, dates and progress as cards.
Read periods and milestones
Section titled “Read periods and milestones”Genuine periods use proportional bars. Very short stages use timestamped milestone markers instead of being stretched to look longer. Submitted, approved, returned, issued and revision-started events have distinct markers. Simultaneous events form a cluster that can be expanded.
Hover or focus a bar or milestone to see its event, revision, timestamp and duration. Timeline dates cannot be dragged, resized or edited because they are consequences of controlled workflow events.
Customer validity
Section titled “Customer validity”Validity starts when the controlled PDF is issued. Quote Control stores the exact valid until date on that revision using the company policy and business timezone active at submission.
- Valid means the issued quotation is outside the warning period.
- Expiring means it is within the configured warning period.
- Expired means the valid-until date has passed without a linked order.
Recording a customer order removes the quotation from expiry-attention counts and starts its order-handover period. An order received after expiry remains visibly advisory rather than changing the historical validity date.
